Fast Charging Stations

Use: Express Plus (“EXPP”) DC Fast Charging Stations provide hyper-fast charging from 150 to 350 kW. Express Plus stations are ideal for fleets that require fast charging and for locations where EVs charge as businesses, such as Interstate corridors and other main roadways. EXPP comes in single (PL1000) or dual (PL2000) simultaneous connections.  PL2000 is designed for the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Program.

Options: EXPPs are available in single or dual-port models with a standard 14.4' horizontal reach cord with cord retraction. Video screens are optional.

Express Plus Power Block

Express Plus solutions are configurable, and consist of the Power Link charging station, which is powered by Power Blocks, which contain Power Modules that convert AC to DC power. *

ChargePoint Express Plus charging stations are delivered with the following features:

  • Cords and connectors available include CCS1 and/or CHAdeMO cords with 14’ horizontal reach. 
  • The CCS1 cord and connector are available up to a 350 kW rating.  CHAdeMo cord and connector are rated up to 200 amps.
  • It can be ordered with a single simultaneous connector (CCS1 or CHAdeMO) or a dual simultaneous combination (2 CCS1 or 1 CCS1 and one CHAdeMO). 
  • Each cord includes cord management.
  • Cords can be ordered with a single or a combination, as well as various lengths and amperages depending on the application.
  • Input: 480 VAC, up to 400 Amp, 3-Phase, 4 conductors UL, cUL (Canada), and CE certifications
  • Operating Temperature: -40°C to 50°C (-40°F to 122°F)
  • Dynamic power management.  
  • Allows a fixed maximum power output per station or lets the system dynamically manage the power distribution per station.
  • Remote Energy Management: manage output power via the ChargePoint Admin Portal, API, and video with a touchscreen.
  • Access controls through an RFID reader or cell phone app
  • Cellular connectivity/North American modem/SIM card. OCPP 2.0 supported. 
  • Remote system monitoring.
  • Alignment mounting plate included

Each Express Plus solution is configured as follows:

  • Power Link charging station
  • One (1) or two (2) Power Blocks per Power Link. 
  • The Power Block converts the power source from AC to DC.
  • One (1) to five (5) 40 kW power modules that mount in each power block.

  • Each station’s output is configured to suit your needs based on the number of Power blocks, each containing up to five (5) power modules (40 kW, 100 A each)
  • The PL1000 series provides one simultaneous connection and provides up to 200 kW per connector
  • The PL2000 series provides two simultaneous connections and provides up to 350 kW per connector
  • For higher-power applications, cables and power modules include liquid cooling.
  • One power block can serve up to 2 power link stations. Additional power blocks can be added to serve more than one station or increase power output up to 350 kW.

  • Commissioning Service: required per Power Block and Power Link, includes on-site validation and inspection of electrical, mechanical, installation, wiring, and civil parameters for the Express Plus Power Block and Power Link.
  • ChargePoint’s standard one-year warranty covers material and workmanship. Additional annual ChargePoint’s Assure Warranty Plans, including labor and material costs, are available for 1 through 5 years.
  • ChargePoint Enterprise Cloud Plan is required and provided for an annual fee and may be purchased for a 1-to-5-year duration. This includes flex billing, waitlisting, driver access controls, customizable videos, reservations, 24/7 driver support, 24/7 station monitoring, station manager support, automatic software updates, data and analytics, fleet vehicle management, Valet dashboards, power management, and more.
  • ChargePoint’s Site Activation process is required for all installations, including station pinpointing (geo-spatial locating), station activation, and initial configuration.
